Payment Card Industry (PCI) approved
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.
The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) was launched on September 2006 to manage the ongoing evolution of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards with focus on improving payment account security throughout the transaction process. The PCI DSS is administered and managed by the PCI SSC, an independent body that was created by the major payment card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB).
In order to meet increased security requirements for card payments, Flowbird offers online authorisation of payment card transactions, thereby improving overall security and decreasing the risk of fraud. Flowbird’s online card processing solution is compliant with PCI DSS Level 1 at all stages of our products and services.

Europay MasterCard VISA/ EMV certified
EMV is a standard for more secure interoperability between credit and debit cards, and payment terminals. The standard is entirely based on microprocessor technology, which is much more secure than the magnetic-stripe technology. The acronym EMV comes from Europay, MasterCard and VISA - the three companies that originally co-operated to develop the standard.
The EMV standard defines the interaction between the devices that process payment cards for financial transactions at four levels: physical, electrical, data and application level.
To meet future requirements for secure card payments, Flowbird has worked with leading card-reader manufactures to develop full EMV solutions.

ISO 9001:2015 certified
The quality of our products and services can only be maintained within a healthy organisation. To avoid the occurrence of defects in quality, we work in a systematic and structured way to identify potential risks and always ensure that our employees understand the wishes of our customers and partners, and that what we deliver must exceed their expectations.
The certified quality control is currently monitored by Intertek, an independent, authorised organisation who conduct the external audits.

ISAE 3402 compliant
International Standard on Assurance Engagements, ISAE No. 3402 is a standard for reporting on controls at service organisations and has become the dominant platform. The aim of ISAE 3402 is to comprehensively test the internal control system of an organisation and to evaluate its effectiveness in detail.
ISAE No. 3402, Assurance Reports on Controls at a Service Organisation, was issued in December 2009 by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), which is part of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). ISAE 3402 was developed to provide an international assurance standard for allowing public accountants to issue a report on the controls at a service organisation that are likely to impact or be a part of the user organisation’s system of internal control over financial reporting. This engagement allows a service organisation to have its control policies and procedures evaluated and tested by an independent party.
ISAE 3402 compliance provides Flowbird customers with a level of assurance about our corporate controls. Deloitte conducted the Flowbird’s ISAE 3402 audit in December 2015.
ISO 14001:2015 Certified
Flowbird constantly strives to minimise environmental impact and comply with the latest environmental legislation, as well as other requirements and regulations, which apply in our business sector and the markets in which we operate in line with the latest edition of ISO14001.
Our hardware is continuously developed with the aim of having a minimal impact on health and the environment during manufacture, in service and when they are withdrawn from their life on the streets. Our robust terminals are already 99.5% recyclable but we are not stopping there. We never use more consumable materials than necessary and constantly strive to find new ways of replacing them with digital solutions when this is possible. Further, we always use transportation means with minimal environmental impact.
We regularly seek advice in relation to both new and updated rules and regulations that apply to our areas of operation and beyond,to leave a minimal “foot print” on the environment.
The certified environmental management is currently monitored by Intertek, an independent, authorised organisation that conducts the external audits.
